ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The 8th workshop on Biosensors and Bioanalytical µ-Techniques in Environmental and Clinical Analysis will be hosted by BITS – Pilani, Goa Campus, Goa INDIA under the auspices of International Association of Environmental Analytical Chemistry (IAEAC) Switzerland. The specific theme of this workshop is extended to multidisciplinary fields connecting µ-systems, nano-biosensors, biochip, nanotechnology, MEMS, genomics and proteomics.

Previous editions of the workshop were held in Paris France (1994), Lund Sweden (1996), Las Vegas USA (1998), Minorca Spain (1999) Ithaca USA (2002), Rome Italy (2004) and Kusadasi Turkey (2006).

GOAL OF THE WORKSHOP

The workshop will bring together experts and those who are interested in the themes of the workshop. The aim of the workshop is to provide a forum for discussion and exchange of knowledge about the recent advances in biosensor s applications in real life pollution problems, bio-analytical micro and nano techniques and clinical diagnostics. The workshop will also provide an opportunity to strengthen existing networks of education and research among the participants and scope for future collaboration.
