Development of an Expert System for Selection of Polymer Composite Systems

The project provides a method for evaluation and ranking of constituent materials for composite product system using a computerized material selection expert system. The methodology used in this work is TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution), an MADM (Multiple Attribute Decision Making) approach that ensures an optimum solution for the desired characteristics. Tools used - C, Visual Basic 6.0 with MS Access as the database.

Internet Banking – Project in LASERSOFT INFOSYSTEMS LTD, CHENNAI

The first industry project was to create an Internet Banking Website for a Banking organization. The aim was to develop a web-based application which deals with various banking transactions. This project was highly appreciated by the Chairman and Managing Director of the organization.

Total Quality Management System – Project in SHAKTHI INDUSTRIES LTD, GOA

This is a total quality control management system created for the organization which mainly deals with manufacturing tanks and other thermo plastic components. This system was designed to reduce some minor faults in its manufacturing which would increase the quality of its products. This system works in integration with their existing ERP system.

Online Elective Registration Software

This software was created for the Academic Regulation Council of BITS Pilani, Goa Campus to enable the management to overcome the problems it faced with the manual structure.

BITStream and Grapevine

This project was done to create an indigenous IP Messenger for BITS Pilani, Goa Campus which would enable easy communication between the faculty members and their students. This project was undertaken to provide a platform for students to enhance their learning experience. This project has been now extended to develop a LAN messenger with calling and video chat facilities called Grapevine.

Virtual Bank Software

This software was created as a part of a curriculum project in the course of Software Engineering. This Virtual Bank software takes care all transactions the happen between the students and the institute management. This project followed the spiral model and went through all the various developmental stages in software engineering to get the product.

Shrishti - Knowledge Process Outsourcing Project

This is an ongoing project to create knowledge portals which could be used by the students all round the world. This portal would enable students with better learning prospects. The content of which has video and audio streaming. The major aim of the project is to give a new dimension to e-learning experiences.

Data Mining and Business Intelligence in Oracle 10g

This ongoing project deals entirely with the working of Oracle 10g in Linux environment. It deals with understanding and working in the Grid computing (Data Mining) and Business Intelligence aspect of Oracle 10g.

BDMM: BITS Digital Mobile Map

BDMM is a positioning and map navigation system designed for the BITS-Pilani, Goa campus to be used in mobile devices and handhelds. It’s a prototype for the main vision of making this software useful for the tourism oriented state of Goa. The purpose is to design and implement an automated tourism-oriented mobile application that would be capable of guiding the tourists from one place to another with various navigation features like shortest route between places, nearby hotspots, etc.

Site Management System

This is a service built to manage and update the site of BITS Pilani Goa Campus from a remote location.
